Union County Sheriff's Office of South Carolina Purchases ledsSuite Software for 9-1-1 Center

The Union County Sheriff’s Office of South Carolina has selected ledsSuite’s computer-aided dispatch software from Zuercher Technologies to upgrade their 9-1-1 center.

The previous software the Union County Sheriff’s Office was using limited their capabilities and did not fit with their dispatch process.  The ledsCAD software was selected because of its many configuration options and its ease of use.  ledsCAD will also be interfacing with the county’s existing mapping software from WTH GIS to increase efficiency and save the county money already invested in the GIS mapping system.

Also included in the system is the powerful ledsReporting tool.  By using ledsReporting, the Union County Sheriff’s Office will be able to create agency specific reports, analyze data, compile statistics, and perform crime analysis easily and quickly.

Another important factor was the number and type of services Zuercher Technologies offers with their standard maintenance agreement.  Zuercher Technologies takes 100% responsibility for their servers, including the operating system. The company also monitors server performance, offers rolling backups, and provides technology refreshes whenever needed.  Each year, they release three to four major software updates which continue the ongoing enhancement of the solution, thus protecting their customers’ investments.

“We are very excited about the services that Zuercher Technologies offered us as part of their standard maintenance agreement,” stated 9-1-1 Coordinator Linda Mitchell.  “Knowing that our system is going to be professionally managed and stay current in regards to industry requirements, all at no extra cost, was important to us.”

“The Union County Sheriff’s Office quickly grasped all of the benefits that ledsCAD and Zuercher Technologies has to offer,” stated David Jones Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Zuercher Technologies.   “The extensive configuration capabilities of ledsCAD, paired with our broad array of standard support and maintenance services, will allow them to achieve a new level of efficiency that they always knew was attainable.”
