3 Alarm Fire Destroys Abandoned Church - Fort Worth, TX

On Tuesday August 2, 2016 fire destroys an abandoned church on Fort Worth's east side. On arrival heavy fire and smoke was showing and firefighters quickly went into defensive attack and called additional alarms for manpower and due to extreme heat. There was a roof collapse during the blaze.

Even as the sun was setting Tuesday, the temperature at Fort Worth Meacham Airport was 97 degrees, noted NBC5 online news in a report on the fire.
