CITY OF FOLSOM – Experienced Police Dispatcher Lateral (Full-Time) Current Salary - $51,317-$62,392/annuallymonthly (+7.5% w/ POST Dispatch Certification)

Must be willing to work a variety of shifts including, weekends and holidays, a police dispatcher processes 9-1-1 calls; receives all incoming requests for service either by telephone or radio, evaluates information received, determines proper course of action; performs the dispatch of emergency and routine calls. Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12) grade. Experience & Training:  One year of full-time paid dispatch experience with a governmental law enforcement agency using a computer-aided dispatch system and possession of a current and valid POST Dispatch Certificate. Successful candidate must pass background consisting of credit check, DMV check, Dept of Justice fingerprint and investigation, pre-employment physical and psychological exam. Written test and oral interview may be required.
