A-T Solutions Inc., an internationally recognized leader in counterterrorism based in Vienna, Virginia, is launching its Data Collection Toolkit, a suite of software tools that enable users to systematically collect, share, analyze and manage incident-related data.

“We are very excited about introducing this new tool for incident responders everywhere,” saidDennis Kelly, president and CEO of A-T Solutions. “One of our team’s core philosophies involves continually innovating to produce new technology that can help our customers achieve their counterterrorism mission, and the capabilities in this software suite are a great example of that.”

DCT is an enhanced software suite that expertly simplifies and organizes field incident data and facilitates workflow management to support rapid information sharing in critical situations. The perfect solution for on-site incident responders, DCT empowers on-site teams and command and control personnel responsible for maintaining situational awareness.

The DCT software suite includes three components: DCT Desktop, DCT Mobile and DCT Explorer, and is available in client, Web and mobile versions. DCT Desktop can be used for diagramming and reporting on a traditional computer or laptop, whereas DCT Mobile is specifically designed for field use. With DCT Mobile, customers can capture data on mobile devices, including tablets and smartphones. The app has the ability to document, diagram, take pictures and shoot video.

“Having DCT available for field use is crucially important to on-site personnel to work and input data in real time,” added Kelly. “This greatly reduces any time lag involved with data collection, creating results and value that are immediately realized.”

Diagramming with DCT is quick and precise with drag-and-drop pre-drawn streets, structures and symbols. Users can plot incidents, diagrams and photos for a complete picture and output data in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, PDF and XML formats for flexible use.

DCT Explorer offers a database for data storage, management and analysis. It aggregates, filters, queries and exports data for users. With a versatile interface, users can load any casebook — new or existing, individual or batched — for analysis, storage and sharing. It is compatible with all A-T Solutions software and does not require persistent Internet connectivity.

DCT is an updated version of A-T Solutions’ award-winning field data collection and incident scene diagramming tools that have been in use by thousands of law enforcement professionals, first responders, homeland security teams and defense forces for more than a decade to effectively and efficiently collect data and evidence for reporting and analysis.
