San Jose Fire Department is recruiting for the position of:

Public Safety Radio Dispatcher (PSRD) Trainee


This position is a dynamic and integral link in the chain of public safety for San Jose.  It is part of the 43 people who receive emergency and non-emergency calls for service, dispatch and direct Fire Department emergency vehicles and personnel, and support other non-emergency services in the City. 

The PSRD uses a computer aided dispatch system, several ancillary software programs, a fully computerized telephone system, ergonomic sit-stand workstations, and a city-wide radio system daily.

The PSRD trainee salary rate is $2,044.00 biweekly
The PSRD classification salary range is $59,030.40 - $71,760.00 annually
